Stage 4: Your Fittings and the Final Garment

At every stage of the process you are consulted and all options are discussed with you.  Every fitting is signed off, which confirms that you agree with the changes and confirming that we can proceed to the next stage in production.

Patternmaking

After the Fabric Shopping, we make a set of patterns specifically for you and a ‘mock-up' (toile) of your garment is created, usually out of calico or a fabric similar to those you purchased for your order.

Toile Fitting

This toile is used to make sure we are on track with fit and design.

Here, it is important to have your bra and shoes ready, as the garment is fitted to the bra and the hem adjusted for the shoe height.

If alterations are need at this stage, we adjust where necessary and then cut out your garment in your purchased fabrics, and sew it to a half-way stage, called a Mid Fit.

Adjust Patterns and Mid Fitting

At this time, we have another fitting.  Any alterations done at this stage are usually very minor (due to any weight change).

If further mid-fittings are needed, we will advise you this at the time.

Final Fitting

The last stage of the process is your final fit where you pay your balance and get to take your garment away!
