We start out drawing in pencil, using our figure templates to help us to maintain correct body proportions. We ask you lots of questions about specific aspects of the garment being designed, and we keep sketching.

We start with the basic shape (lets say we are designing a coctail dress) and add design features from there.

Soon enough, your design begins to take proper form.  We try lots of different ideas, make recommendations and suggestions, all with the common view of making sure the design looks fantastic and that you would be comfortable wearing it.

Often you come out with a whole new look you never expected!

The best part about the designing process is being adventurous.  Begin with a basic idea and go for your life!  After all that is what designing is all about!  Try something new, suggest something and we will always be there to advise and help you.

Once you have the design set and what you have in your head is down on paper, we then begin to think about colours and fabrics.  Sometimes colours are the feature of the design and sometimes the fabric tells the story.  The colours and fabrics compliment the design and fit of the garment you have created.
