This dress was made and purchased in America. The dress was too small for the bride and quick alterations were needed to ensure the dress fitted as best it could and was comfortable for the wearer.

The hem of the wedding dress was shortened and a series loops and buttons installed to enable the train to be lifted completely from the ground.

A new boned back placket was created to make this American-made dress, fit across the back (dress was 8 inches too small acress the back width). Loops were inserted down the centre-back and the dress then laced with Satin strapping.
