DESCRIPTION - ALTERATION

This classic 1970’s/1980’s wedding dress is being worn by the third generation in the family. As a wonderful heritage piece, it needed a few modernising touches, as seen in the before and after photos.

The sleeves and high neckline were removed to form a beautiful strapless design that perfectly suits the new bride. The back was laced and a placket added.

New lace was added to the top edges of the bust area and the empire line.

The train was shortened from 4 metres to one metre and a layer of satin taken away. The new shorter chiffon train has rolled hems and drapes perfectly to envelop the wearer.
