GARMENT DESRIPTION - ALTERATION
This original 1970's dress was remodelled into a stylish and functional wedding dress for the modern woman. The original design features a reverse pleated collar, high neckline, a darted waistline, a single row of large daisies down the centre-front and a floor length hemline.
To modernise the dress, the collar was removed and made into a sash at the empire line. The neckline was lowered and features deep v-necks at the front and back and diamantes added for a little sparkle. The bust was gathered to enhance the wearer's bust line. A row of tiny diamantes has been added to the original Centre Front stitching line where the daisies used to be.
The lace jacket was simply shaped at the bust, back waist and hemline and the sleeves shorted, to add shape and femininity.
