DESCRIPTION - ALTERATION
A world apart from the original, this jacket has been completely made over and restyled to add feminine shape and funky contrast.
Previously, this jacket was a semi-fitting, boxy style, loose jacket. No it’s shaped at the waist, taken in at the shoulders and design features added to give it a new look.
With a combination of trims, we have brought out the life of the jacket and accentuated the new shape. Orange edge stitching was added down the side fronts of the jacket, to show off the new feminine shape.
Braid, orange grosgrain and black velvet ribbons were added to collar, and pintucks were added over the shoulder line, to both take in the jacket and build in a feature
On the sleeve, we have added a trim and extended the cuff. Buttons were also added for a French cuff style.
We stitched down the front welt pockets to prevent bagging and added bright orange stitching to match the grosgrain ribbon at the collar.
The centre back had a pleated wire ribbon added and the back hem was slashed and opened, and at the back waist we added pintucks for effect.
