Back Placket Alteration

This stunning wedding gown has been altered to fit the wearer by creating a new placket at the back and re-lacing it. A new boned back placket was created to make this American-made dress, fit across the back (dress was 8 inches too small acress the back width). Loops were inserted down the centre-back and the dress then laced with satin strapping.
 

Boned Halter-Neck Wedding Dress

The halter-neck length was shortend to fit the wearer (dress purchased in Australia). The dress was also taken in at the side seams and front hem.
 

Gold Silk Top and Navy Silk Jacket

A classic gold silk top was created to match a jacket purchase in Bali, for a special event. The alteration to the navy silk jacket wa made to better flatter the wearer, by reducing the width around the body, armhole and sleeves. A small split in the sleeve hem was created for interest.
 

Handmade 1950's Wedding Dress

This beautiful 1950's/1960's wedding dress was altered to fit the wearer. A one-off piece, it displays at the back, handmade feature flowers right down the length of the dress.
 

Jacket Altered into a Corset

From a favourite 1980's jacket, was re-made this fantastic strapless corset. The sleeves were used to create the lovely binding at the edges, and it sports a front placket for dramatic effect. This is a very popular option, especially if you can't bear to throw away your fabourite clothes. Just get them re-made into something else!
 

Wedding Gown Hem

The hem of the wedding dress was shortened and a series loops and buttons installed to enable the train to be lifted completely from the ground.
