2011 Annual FNZSO Conference & AGM - Hastings

This took place on 12th - 14th August 2011, at the Angus Hotel in Hastings
We introduced ourselves on the Friday evening during a few drinks and nibbles, and presented our company. On the Saturday was the conference - and that was absolutely fabulous! We had a ball of a time and met the most wonderfully warm and friendly people ever!
Here is more information and a timetable of the day for those who didn't attend.
Our Stand at the Conference
People came over the check out who we were, what we did and to have a chit-chat! We met the leaders of many Ostomy Societies aroud the country, all the way down to Invercargill. It was awesome to have met you all. Thank you for coming to see us!

Feedback and Suggestions
Everyone offered very valuable feedback and comments, which allows us in turn, to improve and perfect our range even more.
We had suggestions to extend our range for those other societies who require special appliances after surgeries or illness, such as the cancer society, breast cancer society, etc. We will certainly be taking on-board all those recommendations and contacting the right people in the very near future.
We also had suggestions on how we can extend the range from ladies negligee's and mens nightshirts, to high-waisted trousers, high waisted shorts and skirts - all with a firm and flexible waistband.
Thank you everyone, these were very helpful! Watch this website for more of those in the coming months!

We Also Took Orders
The most popular fabrics being the burlesque, the scottish tartan and the burbury patterns.
The most popular styles were the empire line singlets and boy leg briefs (we have some samples that were made and have not yet been photographed, so we will try to get these up on the website soon). A few were daring enough to order a cheeky leg or french cut for their undies - most impressive!

Speeches and Fashion Show
We were also given the priviledge of speaking on stage - thank you to all of those who made that happen! It was fantastic to have such amazing support and excitement towards our products.
We spoke of who we were, how we were inspired to create our specialized lingerie range and how we "went to town" when combining different fabrics and trims, with different styles and options, to make the range what it is today.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to those who took part in our mini fashion show
- Thanks to Hugh and Norma for allowing us to parade our wares to the unsuspecting crowd
- And a huge thank you to the brave Julie and Jill for coming up on stage IN the lingerie sets themselves - high heels, stockings and all!
They paraded the Scots tartan set, the burbury set and a burlesque set each - wohoo!
It was spectacular and certainly got a number of raised eyebrows and heartbeats going faster! I don't think they were expecting that!
When the ladies came on stage in their lingerie sets, a rip-roaring cheer went up and everyone clapped and got into the spirit of it all - it was incredible! We would have loved to take a picture of everybodies faces. A 'minties-moment' to be sure!
The rest of the day was involved in listening to inspiring guest speakers and educational forums for the members of the different societies.

The Return Home
Sunday saw the long drive home, shopping on the way (we always stop in Tirau on the way through - we LOVE Tirau), and a big rest at the end of the weekend.
Thank you once again to all those we met and soon to meet as a reuslt of such as spectacular event!
