Do you need a job?
We are always seeking that special type of person who can sew and patternmake (either/or) and who have a professional, quality finish to every garment! Do you have something special to offer!
THE ROLE
We need a very experienced dressmaker/seamstress who can work about 30 hours (approx) on a contract basis, with the possibility of more hours.
No two orders are the same, often being quite complex and creative.
You will need to live in Auckland (for pick up's and drop off's). All our contractors are local (we like to support the local community)!
You will need to be made of "tuff stuff" as this role is for the hardy, experienced sewers (and patternmakers). If you just sew at home for friends and family... this role may be too full-on (sorry, but we are being honest and straight-up-and-down with you, right from the start)!
If you have the passion and drive and completely LOVE doing sewing and patternmaking - then yes - we definately want to hear from you!
WORK ETHIC
We work on each order, knowing the customer actually wears each garment, they are "not just a job."
We expect each of our contractors to keep this in mind and work under this philosophy. You can always tell in the finished product, which approach you had! A "she'll be right mate" attitiude is not for us!
Be a perfectionist! Snip those threads and take the time to view the final garment. Give it a once-over and take that time to make sure everything is as it should be - and better!
